Impact of technology on farmer's financial well-being: An empirical evidence of Pakistan
During COVID-19, most of the jobs became home-based. Many of the
sectors got affected by this pandemic like education, agriculture, and different sectors interlinked
with each other. As the majority of industries have shifted to an online-only model. Farmers have
suffered as a result of this change. “Due to the COVID-19, about one-third of farm households
reported the loss of earnings” from the Analysis of Data from a Cross-Sectional Survey1
. This
study aims to analyze the impact of technology on farmers during COVID-19 in Pakistan because
Pakistan is unique in that roughly 62 percent of the country's population lives in rural areas and
relies on agriculture for a living, either directly or indirectly.
