Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Charge Controller.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels convert the light energy from the Sun into electrical energy. Solar irradiance has multiple varying patterns changing daily, seasonally and annually. Due to this variation in solar irradiance, characteristics curve of solar PV panel also varies resulting in varying maximum power point. For efficient operation it is necessary that varying maximum power point should be continuously tracked and PV panel must operate on this point which is called maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Various MPPT algorithms and techniques with different advantages and disadvantages are used for this purpose. Therefore, in this project we developed and implemented an MPPT technique to improve the efficiency of PV panel. Our resulting efficiency is 99.2% respectively.
