The global market for SoCs has reached USD 199.46 billion, reflecting their growing importance in processor design industries. Our project aims to design an SoC using LiteX, an open-source framework, to avoid the use of highly proprietary tools. LiteX is a customizable open-source platform that simplifies the creation of FPGA-based SoCs. The design process begins with defining the core SoC architecture, including components RAM, ROM, main memory, peripherals, a bus system, and RISC-V cores, followed by memory mapping to optimize performance. The SoC is then integrated and programmed on the iCESugar FPGA Board.
