Abstract: This study investigates the impact of Islamic Financial Literacy (IFL) on the growth and performance of Islamic banking in Pakistan. A primary data has been collected through survey to measure Islamic financial literacy and what its impact on the growth and performance of Islamic banking in Pakistan across rural area of Punjab in Pakistan. Surveys were conducted to collect data from banks customers of ruler areas of Punjab of Pakistan. The data collection approaches rely on administered questionnaires which enable researchers to fully understand Islamic financial literacy effects on banking sector growth and performance. Statistical tests using STATA software evaluate IFL's correlation to Islamic banking growth and performance in Pakistan based on collected data. This study shows that the impact of IFL is significant on the growth and performance of Islamic banking in Pakistan. This study shows that the control variables age and gender is also significantly impact on the growth and performance of Islamic banking in Pakistan. Data shows that 40% customers of ruler areas have financial literacy about the Islamic finance and 60% have not financial literacy about it. On the bases of these results this study will deliver relevant information for policy makers and banking institutions alongside educational establishments to advance Islamic banking development through Islamic financial literacy.
