Rotavirus is one of the leading causes of severe diarrhea in infants and young children throughout both developed and developing countries. It has various modes of transmission including human to human, human to environment and environment to human. The SIRE (Susceptible, Infected, Recovered and Environment of pathogens) epidemic model is used and the dynamics of this model are analyzed by both theoretically and numerically. In 1973, Rotavirus was discovered from duodenal biopsies and fecal samples taken from humans with acute diarrhea.
