We introduce a dual-band Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna with a four-element configuration using the Defected Ground Structure (DGS) technique, achieving resonances at 6 GHz and 9 GHz. An extended wideband model operates between 6.9 and 7.9 GHz. Built on a Rogers-5880 substrate of the size 104mm x 104mm x 0.51, the dual-band version offers a peak gain of 5 dBi and 7 dB port isolation, whereas the wideband version provides a 6 dBi gain and enhanced 10 dB isolation. These specifications make the antenna ideal for various 5G applications, underscoring its efficacy in advanced wireless communication systems.
